This organ was first used as a church organ, by Mr Jones of Washington , Sussex. After 50 years, it was rebuilt in 1978 as a fairground organ. Alot of the music has been painstakingly copied from old and damaged books. There is well over a hundred books of music in total. The name 'Chanctonbury' is derived from the place it was built over looking the' ring.'
